Description
Traditional mince pie filled with a rich mixture of dried fruits and spices.
Ingredients

- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 3 tablespoons cold water
- 1 cup mincemeat filling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour and sugar.
- Add chilled butter and mix until crumbly.
- Stir in egg yolk and cold water to form a dough.
- Chill the dough for 30 minutes.
- Roll out the dough and cut circles for the base and tops.
- Place bases in muffin tins and fill with mincemeat.
- Top with dough circles and seal edges.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- Use store-bought mincemeat for convenience.
- Decorate with icing sugar before serving.
- Can be made a day in advance.
