Description
Mince pies are traditional British pastries filled with a mixture of dried fruits and spices.

- 1 package of shortcrust pastry
- 300g mincemeat
- 1 egg (beaten, for glazing)
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Roll out the shortcrust pastry on a floured surface.
- Cut out circles for the base and tops of the pies.
- Place the base circles in a muffin tin.
- Fill each base with mincemeat.
- Cover with the top circles and seal the edges.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden.
- Let cool and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
- Use store-bought or homemade mincemeat.
- These can be made ahead and stored in an airtight container.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
