Ingredients

  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 package empanada dough discs
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the onion and garlic until soft.
  3. Add the ground beef, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until the beef is browned.
  4. Remove the skillet from heat and let the mixture cool.
  5. Take an empanada dough disc and place a spoonful of beef mixture in the center.
  6. Fold the dough over to create a half-moon shape and seal the edges with a fork.
  7. Brush the tops with beaten egg.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
