Description

Mississippi Pot Roast is a flavorful beef dish cooked slowly to perfection.


Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 5 to 6 pepperoncini peppers

Instructions

  1. Place the beef chuck roast in a slow cooker.
  2. Sprinkle the ranch dressing mix and au jus gravy mix over the roast.
  3. Place the butter on top of the roast.
  4. Add the pepperoncini peppers around the roast.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the meat is tender.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, sear the roast before placing it in the slow cooker.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes or on a sandwich.
