Description

A delicious and easy-to-make Chinese dish prepared in a crockpot.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of chicken thighs
  • 1 cup of soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup of honey
  • 1/4 cup of rice vinegar
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon of ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cups of broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons of cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons of water

Instructions

  1. Place chicken thighs in the crockpot.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil.
  3. Pour the sauce over the chicken.
  4. Add bell pepper and onion to the crockpot.
  5. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  6. 30 minutes before serving, add broccoli.
  7. Mix cornstarch and water, and stir into the crockpot to thicken the sauce.
  8. Serve hot over rice.

Notes

  • Adjust sweetness by changing honey amount.
  • Use other vegetables if desired.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
