Ingredients

  • 1 gallon apple cider
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 tablespoon whole cloves
  • 1 tablespoon allspice berries
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, combine apple cider and orange slices.
  2. Add cinnamon sticks, cloves, allspice, and brown sugar if desired.
  3. Heat over medium heat until steaming, but do not boil.
  4. Reduce heat and let it simmer for 30 minutes.
  5. Strain out solids before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust spice quantities to taste.
  • Can be made in a slow cooker on low for 2-3 hours.
  • Garnish with additional orange slices or cinnamon sticks if desired.
