Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup of brandy (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pour the red wine into a large pot.

  3. Stir in the sugar, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and star anise.
  4. Heat the mixture over medium heat until it is warm but not boiling.
  5. Add brandy if desired.
  6. Let it simmer for 15-20 minutes.
