Description
Old fashioned stuffed cabbage rolls filled with meat and rice.
Ingredients

- 1 large head of cabbage
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Remove the core from the cabbage and blanch the leaves for 2-3 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix ground beef, cooked rice, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Take a cabbage leaf and place a spoonful of the meat mixture at the base.
- Fold the sides over the filling and roll tightly.
- Repeat with remaining leaves and filling.
- In a baking dish, spread some tomato sauce on the bottom.
- Place the cabbage rolls seam side down in the dish.
- Pour the remaining tomato sauce over the rolls.
- Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour.
Notes
- Use large cabbage leaves for easy rolling.
- Adjust seasoning to taste.
- Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
