- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Fresh basil leaves, for garnish
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 500 ml (2 cups) water or vegetable broth
Instructions
- Gather all your ingredients and chop the bell pepper, onion, and garlic.
- In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat and sauté the onion and bell pepper for 3-4 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Stir in the penne pasta, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, then add the marinara sauce and water or broth.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 12-15 minutes.
- Add the mozzarella cheese and pepperoni slices, stirring until the cheese melts.
