Description

A rich and creamy orange mascarpone cheesecake topped with a smooth chocolate ganache.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 1 cup dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. Combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter in a bowl.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a springform pan.
  4. In a large bowl, beat mascarpone cheese, cream cheese, and sugar until smooth.
  5. Add eggs, orange juice, and orange zest. Mix until combined.
  6. Pour the cheesecake batter over the crust in the springform pan.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until the center is set.
  8. Let the cheesecake cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
  9. For the ganache, heat heavy cream until just simmering and pour over chopped chocolate.
  10. Stir until smooth and let cool slightly.
  11. Pour ganache over the chilled cheesecake and spread evenly.
  12. Refrigerate for another hour before serving.
