Description
Oreo Dirt Cake is a fun and easy no-bake dessert with layers of chocolate cake, pudding, and crushed Oreos. It’s a playful treat for any occasion.

- 1 box chocolate cake mix (and ingredients as directed on the box)
- 128 oz hot fudge
- 34 oz chocolate instant pudding mix
- 1 3/4 cup milk (for pudding layer)
- 30 Oreos (crushed)
- 8 oz Cool Whip (thawed)
Instructions
- Prepare the chocolate cake according to the box instructions. Mix with eggs, oil, and water. Pour into a pan and bake.
- Cool the cake for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- In a medium bowl, combine chocolate pudding mix with 1 3/4 cups milk and whisk until thick. Refrigerate for 10-15 minutes.
- Once the cake is cooled, poke holes in the cake and pour hot fudge over it. Let it cool in the fridge for 20 minutes.
- Pour the pudding layer over the cake. Mix the remaining pudding with milk, then fold in Cool Whip and 3/4 of crushed Oreos. Spread over the pudding layer.
- Top with the remaining crushed Oreos to create the ‘dirt’ effect. Chill until ready to serve.
Notes
- Allow the cake to cool completely before adding the hot fudge to prevent it from becoming soggy.
- Don’t overmix the pudding once you add the Cool Whip to maintain a fluffy texture.
- Refrigerate the cake for a few hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld together.
