Description

Peanut Butter Brownies are a delightful combination of rich chocolate and creamy peanut butter, offering a fudgy texture with a swirl of peanut butter for added flavor. These brownies are easy to make and perfect for any occasion, whether as a sweet treat or part of a dessert spread.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (227g)
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips (divided, 175g)
  • 1¼ cups all-purpose flour (150g)
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder (50g)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (200g)
  • 1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar (220g)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and half of the semisweet chocolate chips, stirring continuously until smooth. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  3. In a separate large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  4. In the bowl with the cooled chocolate-butter mixture, add the granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until combined.
  6. Fold in the remaining semisweet chocolate chips and spoon the creamy peanut butter into a microwave-safe bowl. Heat for 15-20 seconds until warm and easy to drizzle.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan. Drop spoonfuls of the warmed peanut butter on top and swirl gently with a knife or toothpick.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Remove from the oven and cool for 15-20 minutes. Slice into squares and serve.

Notes

  • For a different texture, use crunchy peanut butter instead of creamy.
  • Ensure you do not overmix the batter to prevent dense brownies.
  • For added sweetness, you can sprinkle chocolate chips on top before baking.
  • Allow the brownies to cool fully before cutting for cleaner slices.
