- 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- ½ cup crushed peppermint candies
- Whipped cream for topping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).
- Mix graham cracker crumbs and melted butter in a bowl.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of a springform pan.
- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
- Add vanilla and peppermint extract, mixing well.
- Incorporate eggs, one at a time, mixing after each addition.
- Stir in sour cream and crushed peppermint candies.
- Pour the cheesecake mixture over the crust.
- Bake for 55-60 minutes until the center is set.
- Let the cheesecake cool, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
- Top with whipped cream and additional crushed peppermint before serving.
