  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 4 cups frozen hash browns
  • 2 cups shredded provolone cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned.
  3. Add the onion, bell pepper, and mushrooms. Cook until softened.
  4. Stir in garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Add beef broth and bring to a simmer.
  6. In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, layer half of the hash browns.
  7. Spread the beef mixture over the hash browns.
  8. Add the remaining hash browns on top.
  9. Sprinkle provolone and cheddar cheese over the casserole.
  10. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
