Description

Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 tbsp poppy seeds

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add sugar, salt, melted butter, and eggs. Mix well.
  3. Gradually add flour, mixing until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  5. Place in a greased bowl and cover. Let it rise for 1 hour.
  6. Punch down the dough and shape into rolls.
  7. Place rolls in a greased baking dish and sprinkle with poppy seeds.
  8. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
