Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) instant yeast
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture.
- Knead the dough for 2 minutes until smooth.
- Shape into a loaf and place in a greased pan.
- Let it rise for 10 minutes.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 25 minutes.
Notes
- Use a kitchen towel to cover the dough while it rises.
- For a crustier bread, place a pan of water in the oven while baking.
- Cool the bread on a rack before slicing.
