Description

Red lentil dahl is a flavorful and nutritious dish made from red lentils, spices, and coconut milk.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup red lentils
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 1 can coconut milk (400ml)
  • 2 cups vegetable broth
  • 1 tablespoon curry powder
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Rinse the red lentils under cold water.
  2. In a pot, sauté onion, garlic, and ginger until soft.
  3. Add curry powder and turmeric, stir for a minute.
  4. Add lentils, coconut milk, and vegetable broth.
  5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
  6. Add salt to taste.
  7. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
