Description
Salisbury steak served with garlic mashed potatoes and mushrooms.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup onion, chopped
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 4 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 tbsp butter
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Form mixture into patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Cook patties for 4-5 minutes on each side until browned.
- Remove patties and set aside.
- Add mushrooms to the skillet and sauté until soft.
- Add beef broth to the skillet and bring to a simmer.
- Return the patties to the skillet and cover, cooking for 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, boil potatoes in salted water until tender.
- Drain potatoes and mash with garlic, milk, and butter.
- Serve patties over garlic mashed potatoes and top with mushrooms.
Notes
- Adjust seasoning to your taste.
- Feel free to add other vegetables.
- Use beef stock for richer flavor.
