A rich and moist cake infused with salted caramel, inspired by traditional Kentucky butter cake.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup salted caramel sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in vanilla extract and buttermilk.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Pour half of the batter into a greased bundt pan.
- Drizzle half of the salted caramel sauce over the batter.
- Top with the remaining batter and drizzle with the rest of the caramel sauce.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool before serving.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
- Serve with whipped cream for added flavor.
- Can be made a day in advance.
