Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, butter, powdered sugar, and salt.
  3. Press the mixture into a tart pan.
  4. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  5. In a saucepan, combine granulated sugar, water, and corn syrup.
  6. Cook over medium heat until the mixture turns amber.
  7. Remove from heat and carefully add heavy cream and sea salt.
  8. Stir in vanilla extract.
  9. Pour the caramel into the baked tart shell.
  10. Let it cool completely before serving.
