Ingredients

- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, butter, powdered sugar, and salt.
- Press the mixture into a tart pan.
- Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
- In a saucepan, combine granulated sugar, water, and corn syrup.
- Cook over medium heat until the mixture turns amber.
- Remove from heat and carefully add heavy cream and sea salt.
- Stir in vanilla extract.
- Pour the caramel into the baked tart shell.
- Let it cool completely before serving.
Notes
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
- Serve with whipped cream for added flavor.
