Ingredients

  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 24 oz marinara sauce
  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef with onion and garlic in a skillet.
  2. Drain excess fat and add marinara sauce.
  3. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Spread a layer of meat sauce in the slow cooker.
  5. Add a layer of uncooked lasagna noodles.
  6. Spread a layer of the ricotta mixture.
  7. Add a layer of mozzarella cheese.
  8. Repeat the layers until ingredients are used, ending with meat sauce and mozzarella on top.
  9. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
  10. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top before serving.

Notes

  • Use no-boil lasagna noodles for easier layering.
