These are delightful snowball cookies perfect for the holiday season.

			- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for coating)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, cream together the butter and 1/2 cup powdered sugar until smooth.
- Add vanilla extract and mix well.
- Gradually blend in the flour and salt.
- Stir in the chopped nuts.
- Shape the dough into small balls and place them on an ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
- Roll the warm cookies in the remaining powdered sugar.
- Allow to cool completely on a wire rack.
Notes
- Store cookies in an airtight container.
- For variation, add chocolate chips or dried fruit.
