A deliciously moist spiced pear bread that combines the flavors of ripe pears and warm spices.

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups peeled and diced ripe pears
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger.
- In another bowl, beat together granulated sugar, brown sugar, and oil.
- Add eggs and vanilla to the sugar mixture and mix well.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients.
- Fold in the diced pears.
- Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
- Bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool before slicing.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
- Serve with cream cheese for added flavor.
- Can be frozen for up to three months.
