Instructions

  1. Chop the dried plums and mix with the raisins and sultanas.
  2. In a bowl, combine breadcrumbs, flour, brown sugar, mixed spice, and cinnamon.
  3. Add the eggs, milk, brandy, and zests to the dry ingredients.
  4. Fold in the chopped fruits until well combined.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased pudding basin.
  6. Cover with parchment paper and foil.
  7. Steam for 6 hours, ensuring water does not boil dry.
  8. Let it cool, then store in a cool place until serving.
  9. Reheat by steaming for 2 hours before serving.
