A flavorful and easy-to-make sushi bake with spicy salmon.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1/3 cup rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 8 ounces salmon, cooked and flaked
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 sheet nori, cut into strips
  • Green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Rinse the sushi rice until the water runs clear.
  3. Combine rice and water in a pot; bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.
  5. Mix vinegar, sugar, and salt in a small bowl; stir until dissolved.
  6. Once rice is cooked, stir in the vinegar mixture.
  7. Spread rice in a baking dish.
  8. Mix salmon, mayonnaise, sriracha, and sesame oil in a bowl.
  9. Spread salmon mixture over the rice.
  10. Bake for 15 minutes.
  11. Garnish with nori strips and green onions before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust the spiciness by adding more or less sriracha.
  • Can substitute salmon with crab or tuna if desired.
  • Best served warm.
