Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup cream cheese
- 1/4 cup strawberry preserves
- Oil for frying
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
- Add buttermilk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Stir until combined.
- In another bowl, mix cream cheese and strawberry preserves until smooth.
- Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F.
- Drop spoonfuls of donut batter into hot oil. Fry until golden brown.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Once cooled, fill each donut hole with the cream cheese mixture.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
