A delightful dessert combining strawberry shortcake and cheesecake in a roll.
Ingredients

- 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup whipped cream
- 1 package of sponge cake or cake rolls
Instructions
- Mix chopped strawberries with sugar and set aside.
- In a bowl, blend cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Fold in whipped cream until well combined.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture over the sponge cake.
- Add a layer of the sugared strawberries on top.
- Roll the cake tightly and wrap in plastic wrap.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
- Slice and serve with extra strawberries if desired.
