- 4 large sweet onions, sliced
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 2 cups crushed crackers
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, sauté the sliced onions until they are soft and translucent.
- In a bowl, mix together the sour cream, mayonnaise, salt, and pepper.
- Add the sautéed onions to the mixture and stir well.
- In a greased baking dish, layer half of the onion mixture, followed by a layer of cheese.
- Repeat the layering with the remaining onion mixture and cheese.
- Top with crushed crackers and drizzle melted butter over the top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
