Description

Thai Drunken Noodles is a spicy stir-fried noodle dish with vegetables and protein.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz wide rice noodles
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 cup carrots, sliced
  • 1 cup protein of choice (chicken, shrimp, or tofu)
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chili paste
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook rice noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  3. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  4. Add protein and cook until browned.
  5. Add bell peppers, broccoli, and carrots. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Add cooked noodles to the pan.
  7. Stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, chili paste, and sugar. Mix well.
  8. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  9. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust the spice level by adding more or less chili paste.
  • Use any vegetables you prefer.
  • For a vegetarian option, use tofu or omit protein.
