Classic bangers and mash served with rich onion gravy.


Ingredients

  • 4 sausages
  • 2 large potatoes
  • 1 onion
  • 1 cup beef stock
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Peel and chop the potatoes.
  2. Boil the potatoes until tender.
  3. Cook the sausages in a pan until browned.
  4. Slice the onion and sauté in the same pan until caramelized.
  5. Add flour to the onions and stir for 1 minute.
  6. Pour in the beef stock and simmer until thickened.
  7. Drain the potatoes, mash with butter, and season.
  8. Serve sausages over mash and drizzle with onion gravy.

  • Adjust the thickness of the gravy by adding more or less stock.
