  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, pureed

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour three 9-inch round cake pans.
  3. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  5. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  6. Stir in vanilla bean paste.
  7. Alternate adding flour mixture and milk to the butter mixture.
  8. Divide the batter evenly among the prepared pans.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Let cakes cool in pans for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
  11. For frosting, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth.
  12. Frost the cooled cakes and stack them.
