A simple and delicious vegan cheese recipe that you can make at home.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup cashews, soaked
- 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 garlic clove
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric (for color)
Instructions
- Soak the cashews in water for at least 4 hours.
- Drain and rinse the cashews.
- In a blender, combine cashews, nutritional yeast, water, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and turmeric.
- Blend until smooth and creamy.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
- Transfer to a container and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
Notes
- This cheese can be used as a spread or dip.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to a week.
