A creamy and savory vegan dip inspired by traditional French onion dip.
Ingredients

- 1 cup cashews, soaked
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Water as needed for consistency
Instructions
- Soak the cashews in water for at least 2 hours, then drain.
- In a pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté the onions until caramelized, about 15 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and cook for another 2 minutes.
- In a blender, combine soaked cashews, caramelized onions, garlic, soy sauce, nutritional yeast, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Add water as needed to achieve a creamy consistency.
- Blend until smooth.
- Transfer to a serving bowl and chill before serving.

- Serve with veggies or chips.
- Can be stored in the fridge for up to 5 days.
