A delicious vegan version of the classic sloppy joes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can of lentils, drained
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 cup of tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon of chili powder
- 1 teaspoon of cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 burger buns
Instructions
- In a pan, sauté onion, bell pepper, and garlic until soft.
- Add lentils, tomato sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, chili powder, and cumin.
- Stir and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve the mixture on burger buns.

- Use whole grain buns for added nutrition.
- Adjust spices according to your taste.
- Can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
