Description
Beef Chimichangas are crispy, deep-fried burritos filled with seasoned beef and cheese.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup refried beans
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 8 large flour tortillas
- Oil for frying
- Optional toppings: sour cream, guacamole, salsa
Instructions
- In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned.
- Add chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well.
- Spread refried beans on each tortilla.
- Place beef mixture and cheese on top of beans.
- Fold the tortillas and secure with toothpicks.
- Heat oil in a deep pan.
- Fry chimichangas until golden brown on all sides.
- Drain on paper towels and serve with toppings.
Notes
- Use lean beef for a healthier option.
- Adjust spices to your taste.
- Can be baked instead of fried for a lighter version.
