Description

Beef Chimichangas are crispy, deep-fried burritos filled with seasoned beef and cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup refried beans
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 8 large flour tortillas
  • Oil for frying
  • Optional toppings: sour cream, guacamole, salsa

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned.
  2. Add chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well.
  3. Spread refried beans on each tortilla.
  4. Place beef mixture and cheese on top of beans.
  5. Fold the tortillas and secure with toothpicks.
  6. Heat oil in a deep pan.
  7. Fry chimichangas until golden brown on all sides.
  8. Drain on paper towels and serve with toppings.
