Ingredients

- 2 cups rice
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 whole chicken
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Salt to taste
- Green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- In a pot, bring chicken broth to a boil.
- Add the rice and reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes.
- In another pot, bring water to boil and add the whole chicken.
- Add garlic, ginger, and salt to the boiling water.
- Cook chicken for about 30-40 minutes until fully cooked.
- Remove chicken and let it rest before shredding.
- Mix soy sauce and sesame oil into the rice.
- Serve rice topped with shredded chicken and garnish with green onions.
Notes
- Use leftover chicken for quicker preparation.
- Adjust seasoning according to taste.
