Description

A flavorful Chinese onion pepper steak dish.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cut the flank steak into thin strips.
  2. Marinate the steak with soy sauce and cornstarch for 30 minutes.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the steak and stir-fry until browned.
  5. Remove the steak and set aside.
  6. Add onion, bell pepper, garlic, and ginger to the pan.
  7. Stir-fry until vegetables are tender.
  8. Add the steak back to the pan.
  9. Add oyster sauce and sesame oil.
  10. Mix well and cook for another 2 minutes.
  11. Season with salt and pepper.

Notes

  • Serve with rice or noodles.
  • Adjust vegetables as per your preference.
  • Can add chili for heat.
