Description
Delicious chocolate caramel bars with a surprise filling.
Ingredients

- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar.
- Add flour, oats, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
- Press half of the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch pan.
- Spread caramel sauce over the pressed mixture.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips on top of the caramel.
- Crumb the remaining mixture over the chocolate chips.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden.
- Let cool before cutting into bars.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container.
- Best enjoyed fresh but can last up to a week.
- Can substitute chocolate chips with nuts for added crunch.
