A delicious layered taco bake with a mix of flavors and textures.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 can refried beans
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 2 cups tortilla chips
  • 2 cups shredded cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned.
  3. Add taco seasoning and water, and simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Spread refried beans in the bottom of a baking dish.
  5. Layer cooked beef over the beans.
  6. Pour salsa on top of the beef.
  7. Add a layer of tortilla chips.
  8. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the chips.
  9. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes.
  10. Top with sour cream and green onions before serving.

Notes

  • Serve with additional salsa on the side.
  • Feel free to add jalapeños for extra heat.
  • Can be made ahead and baked before serving.
