Ingredients

  • 1 cup of water
  • 1/3 cup of vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup of strawberry jello
  • 1 cup of boiling water
  • 1 cup of sliced fresh strawberries
  • 1 container of whipped topping
  • 1/2 cup of powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the cake mix according to package instructions.
  3. Pour the batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  4. Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. In a separate bowl, dissolve the strawberry jello in boiling water.
  6. Once the cake has cooled slightly, poke holes in it with a fork.
  7. Pour the jello mixture over the cake, allowing it to soak in.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  9. In a bowl, mix the whipped topping and powdered sugar.
  10. Spread the whipped topping mixture over the cooled cake.
  11. Top with sliced strawberries before serving.
