- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup tequila
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup grenadine syrup
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the tequila and orange juice.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk.
- Fill cupcake liners two-thirds full with batter.
- Drop a small amount of grenadine into the center of each cupcake.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let them cool before frosting.
Notes
- For a non-alcoholic version, substitute tequila with additional orange juice.
- Top with orange-flavored frosting for extra flavor.
