Instructions

  1. Rinse the basmati rice under cold water.

  3. Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
  4. Add turmeric powder, salt, and pepper, and mix well.
  5. Add the rinsed rice and stir to coat the rice with the spices.
  6. Pour in water and bring to a boil.
  7. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.
  8. Remove from heat and let it sit for 5 minutes.
  9. Fluff the rice with a fork and stir in chopped parsley.
